Leadership is an important element of student lives at Moonee Ponds Primary School. Opportunities for student leadership development occur through involvement in the Student Representative Council (SRC), School Captains and House leadership and Green Team Leadership.

Our Student Representative Council offers leadership opportunities from Years 1 –  6. Students from each class are democratically elected by their classmates and attend weekly SRC meetings. The SRC is led by the Year 6 school captains with support from a liaison teacher.

The SRC act out their vision statement:

It is the vision for the MPPS S.R.C to develop responsible leadership skills to help represent students in communication between all members of the school community and to lead students in being global citizens. We are determined to use all opportunities to work strategically, collaboratively and courageously to inspire students to contribute to positive change in our community and the larger communities in which we live.
